Tsahallah Dror is a solo mum, a pharmacist from Israel, and the founder of Beauty Fields, a New Zealand-based skincare brand focused on treating hyperpigmentation naturally. Her journey toward creating 100% NZ-made solutions began long before she ever set foot in Aotearoa.
After suffering from hyperpigmentation herself and seeing many women in her pharmacy career struggling with similar skin concerns and finding little relief from conventional products, Tsahallah became determined to create a gentler, more natural alternative.
In 2013, she immigrated to New Zealand with her family, hoping for a fresh start. The family began their Kiwi journey in Auckland, then spent five years in Whangarei, followed by two years in Peria, a small, close-knit community near Kaitaia. Each stop along the way brought new friends, deeper connections, and a stronger bond with the land and people of Aotearoa. Today, after those meaningful adventures, Tsahallah and her daughters are back in Auckland - “a city mouse at heart,” as she puts it.
Necessity is the mother of invention
Beauty Fields began from a personal need - a search for safe, effective skincare without the harsh chemicals and bleaching agents often found in traditional hyperpigmentation products. Drawing on her pharmaceutical training, extensive reading, and plenty of experimentation, Tsahallah began handcrafting soaps and creams using carefully selected natural ingredients.
What started as a quest for her own skin became a mission to help others. Today, Beauty Fields offers a soap and a night cream that support skin healing, especially for melasma, dark spots, and uneven pigmentation.
The journey of building a business as a solo parent hasn’t been easy, but Tsahallah describes it as one of the most rewarding chapters of her life. Helping others feel more confident in their skin is something she’s proud of every single day.
