NZ made, not always a good choice!
We do not expect consumers to always
purchase New Zealand Made as we
realise this is not always
practical, however in order to help
sustain our manufacturing industry,
that employs some 200,000 kiwis, we
do need to Buy more NZ Made products...

Brands that tell the NZ story and market NZ values and ideas
There are over
59,000 brands on
sale in NZ. The
majority come from
overseas, the
minority are local
brands. Often the
local brands leave a
lot to be desired.
Despite being fine
brands, they have no
NZ attributes, no
meaningful or
compelling NZ
stories and no Kiwi
symbolism. They

if I can buy a German one which
cooles better,is double insulated,
costing maybe 300-400 Dollars more,
and it saves over 200 Dollars in
power per year ????
Washing machines are same scenario......

Just a quick note of support
instigated by the negative report
on the ' Buy New Zealand' campaign
as placed today on the stuff
website. I find it typical of some
sectors of the New Zealand
manufacturing fraternity that it is
easier to decry a programme that is
designed to her help rather than to
be proactive and...

Wanting to source 'pure' NZ product
I googled your site, but stopped
when I found Heinz Watties. In the
old days this was a NZ company, but
now it's not and they source their
product wherever. Their baked beans
are not, nor is most of their canned
fruit. I've given up on the brand as

Answer to question 24/01/2008
A lot of products made in New
Zealand do contain some imported
product, a lot of this is due to
the bit that is imported not
being available in New Zealand.
In regards to "Food Miles"
without knowing the company who
manufacture ponix orange juice we
cant really comment. If you are
