Click here to find out more about the campaigns member benefits and how to join. The "kiwi in a triangle" logo was born with the Buy New Zealand Made campaign in 1988. The Buy New Zealand Made campaign was created by the Manufacturers Federation in association with the Council of Trade Unions. Printpac UEB were major sponsors. The campaign logo can now be used in a variety of colours and styles. Each member company of the campaign has the right to change the colour of the logo to suit their own branding as it is not the colours but the actual image itself that signifies a New Zealand made product. When your product carries the red and blue, gold and black, or gold and blue kiwi trade mark, your customers can be certain that it's New Zealand Made. For a product to carry the kiwi trade mark of the Buy New Zealand Made Campaign it must be made in New Zealand. The kiwi in the triangle is a certified trade mark owned by the Buy New Zealand Made Campaign and protected under the Trade Marks Act. Only products authorised by the Campaign may use the mark. The mark provides a point of differentiation for your products and adds value to your own brand. Most of all, by using the mark you're making it easy for your customers to identify your products as New Zealand Made, and exercise their preference for buying New Zealand.
