About the Logo

The stylised kiwi (not in the triangle) originated in 1963 through a competition for the manufacturers and exporters of NZ made products.

The "kiwi in a triangle" logo was born with the Buy New Zealand Made campaign in 1988.  The Buy New Zealand Made campaign was created by the Manufacturers Federation in association with the Council of Trade Unions. Printpac UEB were major sponsors.

The campaign logo can now be used in a variety of colours and styles.  Each member company of the campaign has the right to change the colour of the logo to suit their own branding as it is not the colours but the actual image itself that signifies a New Zealand made product.
