Who can apply
Any very small manufacturer (cottage industry), struggling artists, manufacturers or services who are just starting out etc.
What it contains
Cottage Industry members will receive the same benefits as any other full member such as:-
- Newsletters
- Free listings in the Product Finder and Member Directory
- Full use of all other member benefits on the web page
- Any offers available to members
- Can purchase stickers,swingtags, point of sale material and merchandise from Buy NZ Made.
- Can download the artwork for the logo free of charge
- Can change the colour of the logo to suit their own branding.
What is different
Unlike normal membership Cottage Industry membership only lasts for the current membership year. A membership year runs from July 1 through to June 30.
Cottage industry memberships automatically expire after June 30th, this means that you are no longer licenced to use the kiwi-in-a-triangle logo and will have to remove this from all packaging, web, marketing or other material that you may have it displayed unless you re-apply using the cottage industry application form or you upgrade to full membership.
A Cottage Industry member has to reaply each year for membership to ensure they still meet our criteria for this category.
Upgrading to full membership
When a cottage industry member makes the move to full membership, the $75.00 registration fee is waived.
If a cottage industry member upgrades to full membership during their current year, they will not be charged for full membership until July 1st
If a cottage industry member upgrades to full membership after their current year and their membership has expired within a 9 month period they can still upgrade without paying the $75.00 registration fee applicable to all new members by filling in the cottage member upgrade form.
